Paul Brown is a proud Michigander and Wolverine! Paul grew up in northern Michigan in a union home. (His mother was a Teamster.) Paul is the only candidate who is a union member. Paul’s first union job was as a Seafarer working on the freight boats in the Straits of Mackinac. He later joined the staff at University of Michigan as a member of LEO/AFT. Paul worked in the administration of both Governor Jennifer Granhom and President Joe Biden on issues of economic development and small business access to capital.

Paul is focused on increasing the access and affordability of education and healthcare for working families in Michigan. Paul ran for regent because he was frustrated with the lack of results from our elected officials.
